My remedy for sensitive Sneezing, Runny & Stuffy Nose (Part 2)

In the past post - My remedy for sensitive Sneezing, Runny & Stuffy Nose (Part 1), I have highlighted that, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine's view, most of the sensitive nasal problems (sneezing, runny, stuffy) are caused by "weak lung" and the "intrusion of chill" into human body. To reduce the sensitive nasal problem, we need to reduce the chill from "intruding" our body. Previously, I highlighted that always wear a long pant when we are staying in the air-conditioning environment because the meridian on the our legs are one of the main entry point for the chill. Besides that, there are few more important things that we need to concern in order to reduce the chill "intrude into our body" like :

  • After washing your hair, always make the hair dry as soon as possible.
  • Never get your body exposed to the rain.
  • Never have a cold drinks or foods. (This not only applicable to sensitive nose, it also bring a huge impact to your body in the life.)
If you wet your hair for quite a long time and do not dry it up, the chill will "intrude" into your body through the meridian on your head. If you have a cold drinks or foods, the chill will directly enter into your body through the stomach meridian. When the chill successful "intrude" into your body and your body doesn't have enough blood and Qi (I will create another post on explaining the function of blood and Qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine's view) to fend off the chill from your body, the chill will finally enter and remain deeply in your organ - Lung. It is very hard to fend off the remained chill in the lung without enough blood and Qi in the body. What is the impact ? Eventually, the sensitive nasal problems will follow you through the whole life.

I know some of the peoples will feel lucky as they do not encounter sensitive nasal problems even though they take the cold foods or drinks as usual, never dry the wet hair and some even take off their clothes to enjoy their sleep in the air-conditioning environment.........Bear in the mind, even though you do not have the sensitive nasal problem, it doesn't mean that your body is strong enough from protecting "the intrusion of chill". On the contrary, "the chill that intruded" into your body will bring other impact or problem to your body. If you able to reduce and fend off the chill from your body, you will not only reduce the probability of sensitive nose problems but you will also reduce the probability in generating extra & unused body fat in order to make yourself look youthful. I know it is not easy to adopt these good living habits, however, you will see the miracle if you do so ;)

Health is the root of beauty

When I am browsing the beauty forum, normally I will notice some of the common questions and comments in the posts like below:
  1. Is this product really can remove dark circle ?
  2. Which product can clean the spots ?
  3. No No, this product is useless...
  4. Try this xxxx product, it can let you look young, refresh your skin, whitening ...
  5. The laser really good, it can rejuvenate your deep skin.....bla bla bla

When you are having the facial or skin problems, is the beauty product really the best way for you ?

Based on my experience and understanding, 20 percent of beauty depend on products while 80 percent of beauty depend on the health

I take dark circle as an example.

As we know, there are many factors that cause dark circle. Each dark circle case are subject to different curing methods. If there is any company, boasted that it's product 100% guarantee the effect for dark circle, it is absolutely a lie ! Even you try to consult a aesthetic doctor, using laser and injection, dark circle can only be reduced but not 100 percent diminished. In order to maintain the effect after the laser or injection, you will need to keep the laser or injection treatment as usual in a routine basis (maybe you are rich enough for that......)

Traditional Chinese Medicine's View
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine view, all the facial or skin problems were come from the health issue (including dark circle) especially the five important organs in our body - Heart, Liver, Spleen, Lung and Kidney. The organs problems normally give us an early 'signal' and reflect on our face or skin by having dark circle, wrinkles ....... When you are healthy enough, with sufficient blood and Qi and ensure the healthy of five organs, the facial and skin problem will be gone automatically.

However, it is not easy to turn our body into "true" healthy in a short period. We need more time and be patient. For conclusion, health is the best way to build "true" beauty instead of using numerous beauty product. In the future post, I will try to share more my healthy tips to you all in order to let us move towards the healthy and beauty life together ^^

How to get rid of pimples scar ?

Most of the pimples victims are facing one of the common problem - pimples scars. When I was having a serious pimples problem during my study time, remained pimples red scars on the face were one of the problem that made me headache. Based on my previous experiences, it normally took around five to seven days for a pimples to get rid of swelling or inflammation. However, to let the red pimple scar disappear from the face, normally it needs to took around few months ! Imagine, if you are having a serious pimples problem (one day few pimples come out), few weeks later, the remained pimples scars will be the nightmare for you !

My simple, low cost and natural way on reducing pimples scars

1) Use cold water (put some ice into the water) to wash your face everyday

Effect : Minimize the pores, firm the skin, reduce pimples

2) Apply aloe vera on the face (I prefer to use fresh aloe vera)

Effect : Heal the pimples, reduce the red pimples scars

3) Apply home made honey mixed egg mask
(stir the egg with the honey, put it in the refrigerator for a while. After that, apply the honey mixed egg mask on the face)

Effect : Whitening the skin, reduce red pimples scars, tightening the skin

** Apply one or two times per week, each time apply around 7-8 minutes on the face before washing it off **

Hiccups ! How Do I get Rid of it ?

Hiccups is an involuntary spasm of the diaphragm and respiratory organs. Normally it is caused by rapid eating, indigestion, carbonated beverages, alcohol, dry breads, and spicy foods or etc........ I believe most of you have the "experience" before, so I am not going to nagging too much here.

Normally what will you do to stop hiccups? Drink more water ? Drink Vinegar ? Hold your breath ? or...? Yes, sometime these highlighted ways may work for you , but sometime it may not work or may not last.....

My simple, effective and natural way

Use your fingers to massage "Cuan Zhu" acupuncture point  (攒竹穴) and "Yu Yao" acupuncture point (鱼腰穴)

  • Find the right position of the mentioned acupuncture points and place your fingers on it.

  • Press the mentioned acupuncture points and gradually increase the power (you will feel a bit pain while pressing if you get the correct position of the acupuncture points)

  • One minutes massage (clockwise motion) for each of the mentioned acupuncture point.

You will find a relief after completing the massaging :))

My remedy for sensitive Sneezing, Runny & Stuffy Nose (Part 1)

Sensitive runny and stuffy nose are the nasal symptoms that I've always been plagued with. I had been consulting a lot of nasal specialist, try a lot of medicines, did nasal laser surgery treatment and etc........anyway my runny and stuffy nose problem still with me. Normally my stuffy nose problem happens at the night time before I am going to sleep (it is really a nightmare to get your nose blocked when you want to have a quality sleep) while my runny nose happens at the day time when I awake from my sweet dream.

Traditional Chinese Medicine's View
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine's theory, weak lung and the "intrusion of chill" to human body are the factors of causing all these nasal symptoms. Sneezing, runny & stuffy nose are the reaction of body to fend off the chill from the body. Due to the active of lung meridian (named 肺经 in mandarin) at 3 am till 5 am, most of the sneezing and runny nose issues will be happened during the morning period. To reduce all these nasal symptoms, first of all, we need to find a way to reduce "the level of chill enters into our body". According to the research, the meridian on the leg is one of the main entry point for the chill. To reduce all these nasal symptoms, please, always wear a long pant when you are staying in the air-conditioning environment or under cold weather  (To reduce the chill enter into your body through the meridian on the legs). Understand that many ladies love to wear skirt (some even with short skirt) in the air-conditioning office or some people love to wear short pants when enjoying their air-conditioning night sleep, but, please, please, don't do that especially for those who are suffering the nasal problem! Always try to to wear a long pant when you stay in a cold environment. I have tried this way for some time, yes, it works for me ....My nasal allergy medicine is no more in use as usual. When you are having the same nasal symptoms like me, keep using the nasal spray or having the allergic medicine as usual which can bring you the side effect, why not just have a try on this simple preventive step ? ;)

Boil mulberry leaves water for the health of family

Today is the public holiday of Malaysia. So I decided to boil some mulberry leaves water for my family members. As what I highlighted in my previous post "My success story in curing acne & pimples", mulberry leaf water is my secret weapon on curing my pimples problem during my young time. Although I don't have pimples problem anymore, I still used to drink mulberry leaf once a while when I am free.

Mulberry leaf water comes with a bit bitter and sweet, from Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, mulberry leaf water is good for liver on detoxification. As we know, liver is essential for human body on excrete metabolic waste and breakdown toxic substances. By drinking mulberry leaf water, it will speed up the detoxing processes in our body (more excrement compare as usual).

So in this post, I am going to share some of my pretty simple steps on boiling mulberry leaf water.

Ingredients : Mulberry leaves (1 person normally need around 20++ pieces ) , Water (1 person normally 3 cup of water).

1)  First of all, prepare some mulberry leaves (I prefer to use fresh mulberry leaves instead of dry mulberry leaves. For dry mulberry leaves, you can get it from TCM shop) , you can put in some branches of the mulberry tree as well.

2)  Wash the mulberry leaves with water

3)  Put some water in the pot (in estimate way) and boil the water

4)  When the water boiled, put the clean mulberry leaves that prepared earlier into the pot. Minimize the gas fire level and cook for 30 minutes.

5)  After 30 minutes, mission done !!! Now you can enjoy the mulberry leaves water with family ^_^

Interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine

In the past few years, I used to read a lot of healthy & beauty materials. Gradually, I have cultivated a strong interest in the healthy and beauty area. I wish that what I read and learn from that, can keep myself away from the sickness and stay myself as young as possible as well. Indeed,, my healthy & beauty readings are mostly surrounded with the foundation of modern science and medical.

My interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began with reading the articles of Alex Wu (Wu Qing Zhong) from the daily newspaper in an accidental manner. Actually the articles are taken from his book ("Ren Ti Shi Yong Xue" - which mean the theory of using human body). His tried to simplify the concepts of TCM and delivered the key points of TCM in an easy manner (Unfortunately, his books only written in mandarin version). I was drawn to TCM’s theory of treating the root of an illness and was motivated by the way it worked to heal the body and mind as one entity. In the past few months, I tried to do research and practice with foundation of TCM theory, acupuncture points and herbology. (This is the only choice for me in order to cure my disgusted body issues like sensitive nose, knee problem, dark eye circle...... which have 'accompanied' me for quite a long time >.< ).

In the future post, I will share further on TCM topics and explain what's the natural power of TCM in rooting out most of the healthy & beauty issues.
